MPA – Mitchell Right Side Mag Release

We have started producing the Mitchell Right Side Magazine Release for Single Stack and Wide Body double stack 1911 pistols. This mag release is located on the right side of the grip and is ideal for shooters who are left handed and looking for a more streamlined method of releasing the magazine from the pistol.

This is a proven design developed by Jim Mitchell many years ago and we are producing his design by MPA.

There are 3 designs available:

• Double Stack MPA 2011 Style- For MPA Double Stack Grips Only
• Double Stack 2011 Style – Wide Body 2011 Style Grips that are not produced by MPA – This fits the majority of 2011 Style Pistols.
• Single Stack – Most all standard 1911″s

Parts are created from both heat treated Stainless Steel and Heat treated tool steel.

* The “Double Stack MPA” mag release is optimized for MPA grips only.

* The “Double Stack” will work well with other manufactures grips like: Springfield Prodigy, Gen 1 STI grips, Cheely Custom Gunworks, Phoenix Trinity, & Atlas.

* The current models will NOT work in the Stacatto 2011 pistol. Stacatto now uses their own proprietary mag release.
