The DS38 Open Competition Pistol was designed with heavy influence from Team MPA Shooters Andrew Hyder and Travis Tomasie. The DS38 Open is a 38 Super Comp Pistol intended for use in USPSA & IPSC Open Division.

This pistol configuration is based on the preferences of our MPA Team Shooters, Andrew Hyder and Travis Tomasie.
This Race gun is a finely tuned pistol, designed to be run in Open Division in USPSA/IPSC, Features include:
- 38 Super Comp Major Ammunition
- Custom Designed 3-Port Compensator
- MPA Designed and Produced Optics Mount (CMore RTS2, Sig Romeo 3, Leupold DPP (Vortex ST/XL), & Vortex Razor pattern) and Thumb Rest
- Left Side Removable Slide Racker (available in Black or Silver only)
- Competition Tuned Trigger
- Competition Beavertail
- High Ride Shielded Ambi Thumb Safety (available in Black or Silver only)
- Custom Ported Barrel w/5 – 1/4″ ports
- 17-4 Stainless Steel Aggressive Texture Grip
- Custom Trigger Shoe Length (Short, Medium, Long)
This DS Open Pistol can be configured in a multitude of color combinations as follows:

- Control Parts – Black, Silver, Gold, or Blue
- Barrel/Compensator Finish – Black or Silver
- Magwell Finish – Black, Silver, Gold, Blue, or Red Anodized
